Critical Condition of Hospitals in Gaza Strip
Hospitals in the Gaza Strip are currently in critical condition. Israeli attacks are still continuing until recently. The refugee camps in Jabalia were also targeted. In this incident, it is estimated that over 80 people died.
A sad scene occurred when the medical team began evacuating the victims killed by the Israeli attack. When the evacuation team took the victims to the hospital, one doctor suddenly screamed hysterically.
The doctor apparently screamed hysterically because he found his own child was the victim of the Israeli attack. A doctor named Ghada Abu Eida was on duty at a hospital in Gaza. Ghada’s daughter was reported to have suffered serious injuries.
While on duty, Ghada suddenly saw three medical personnel carrying a small child on a stretcher while running. When Ghada realized the victim was her child, she immediately screamed hysterically and chased the medical team carrying her child.
“This incident is not the first time medical workers in Gaza have been shocked to find their relatives who were among the dead or injured rushed to their workplaces and it highlights the human toll of the ongoing Israeli bombardment of Gaza,” Middle East Monitor wrote.
Currently, the condition of hospitals in the Gaza Strip is very worrying. The main power plant at the hospital has officially run out of fuel. This condition means doctors have to work without lighting.
The Gaza Ministry of Health revealed that the death toll in the Gaza Strip had soared to over 8 thousand people.
This incident of health workers in Gaza losing family members is not the first time this has happened. Some time ago it went viral that two doctors at the hospital had lost family members because of Israeli attacks.
This was experienced by Muhammad al-Ran as head of surgery at the Hospital and doctor Muayyad al-Ran. One doctor who heard the sad news at the hospital immediately cried hysterically. Other medical personnel at the location also gathered to strengthen each other.
The hospital’s post did not clearly state when and how the Israeli attack killed the doctor’s family.
A Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C) volunteer named Fikri Rofiul Hak revealed the situation in the hospital after Israel carried out another attack on Wednesday (1/11/2023). The attack occurred at the Ma’asker market, which is very close to the hospital.
Fikri said that after the hospital explosion occurred, many ambulances came to the hospital carrying bodies.
“It is estimated that the total number of martyred victims reached 82 people, and could reach over 120 people if they could reach under the rubble of the building. This number of victims even exceeds the number of victims at the trans market which is next door which happened some time ago,” he said as quoted by X.
The condition of the hospital morgue is very full to accommodate victims. This condition forced several bodies to be placed on the sidewalk.
“That night they were just placed on the side of the road waiting for morning to be taken by the family and buried,” he concluded.
